Family Law team
3DJB are a specialist family and civil set based in the heart of legal London. We are a busy set who pride ourselves on providing a high level of support for pupils and probationary tenants. Candidates can expect to have a busy practice with a mixture of financial remedy, domestic abuse, public children and private children work, including both legal aid and privately paid work.
What we offer:
- Competitive earnings: as a guide, probationary tenants can expect to bill more than £35,000 over 6 months;
- Mentorship: we ensure that our probationary tenants are well supported by allocating them a mentor to act as a supervisor;
- Community: we have a friendly and cohesive community and probationary tenants are included in WhatsApp groups with juniors and are invited to our regular chambers social and marketing events; and
- Progression: If candidates have an interest in undertaking civil work then this can be supported but it is not a requirement.
What we are looking for:
- a strong candidate with experience of family law;
- a persuasive advocate;
- a candidate with strong intellectual abilities; and
- a commitment to the areas of family law undertaken in chambers.
We have a strong track record of offering tenancy to our probationary tenants and every probationary tenancy is with a view to tenancy.
Applications to be addressed to ProbationaryTenancy@3djb.co.uk with cover letter and full CV. Candidates should also attach a print out of their diary (with confidential information suitably redacted), references from their pupil supervisors as well as available references from instructing solicitors, opponents and Judges.
