Probationary Tenancy
3DJB are looking to recruit a probationary tenant to join chambers.
The work will be primarily in family law but there is an opportunity for some civil work if so desired (this is not a requirement). It is anticipated that the successful applicant will be in Court most days and should expect to earn a good income. We are a friendly, sociable and supportive set and are looking for a junior barrister to join our team.
The vacancy is with a view to tenancy and Chambers has a long history of recruiting junior tenants from pupils. The probationary tenancy will be up to 6 months and an offer of tenancy may be made at any time during the 6 months.
To apply, please send a C.V. and a covering letter, specifying the names of two referees (or attaching references if they are already obtained), to pupillage@3djb.co.uk. Applications will be treated in strict confidence and referees will not be approached without prior consultation with the candidate.
We operate an equal opportunity recruitment policy and encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, marital status, religion or disability.
Owing to the changing nature of applicants’ situations, there is no formal deadline for applications; and we may offer a probationary tenancy to a preferred candidate at any time.
Interviews will be arranged at the mutual convenience of applicants and interviewers, likely on weekday evenings; reasonable adjustments will be made where practicable.
