Instructions
Chambers through its clerks will send you an acceptance of instruction when instructions or a brief have been received. Although a barristers availability and diary commitments may affect the timescale of when some paper work will be received we will endeavour to keep to your set deadlines and timescales.
Chambers accept instructions by email, post and DX. Any papers which are received by email will be securely destroyed at the completion of a case if no prior arrangement have been made.
Fees
Private
Each private case we deal with in chambers is different in its entirety. Our fees are very competitive. Our barristers charge for their work either on a fixed fee basis or an hourly rate. You will be given an estimate of the likely fees. Please contact our clerks for more information.
Legal Aid
Legal Aid case are charged in accordancce with the Legal Aid Agency guidlines and details can be found on their website.
Public Access
The amount to be charged for any piece of work and the timing of payment will be defined in writing between you and the barrister before they undertake the work. Work going beyond what was defined in the original client care letter will be the subject of an additional agreement – so at no stage will you become liable for fees which have not been agreed. You will receive a fee note in respect of each payment made to the barrister. More information can be found here.
