Where are we now? The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and Brief Case Update

 

What do practitioners need to know about how courts approach and manage cases which involve allegations of Domestic Abuse? The panel will discuss recent and significant developments both with reference to the DA 2021 and case law. Attendees will be provided with practical tips, a useful and concise update on important decisions in the higher courts and information on experiences in the family court. The panel discussion will have relevance to all areas of family practice, including public and private children proceedings, Family Law Act 1996 proceedings as well as financial remedy proceedings.

Speakers:  Anushka Kangesu, and Elizabeth Wark, of 3 Dr Johnson’s Buildings together with Jenny Birchall, Senior Policy Officer at Women’s Aid.
