Our pupil, Adiba Bassam, begins her second six today and is available to undertake cases in all areas of Family Law.
Adiba commenced her family pupillage in October 2019 under the supervision of Catherine Piskolti. Adiba is interested in all of Chambers’ family law expertise.
Prior to starting pupillage, Adiba worked as a family paralegal at a Tier 1 firm gaining valuable experience in divorces with an international element, high net worth financial remedies, prenuptial agreements and private children law. Prior to this she worked as a legal assistant drafting practice direction documents, assisting in case preparation and providing legal research for barristers.
During her studies, Adiba volunteered for the Citizens Advice Bureau and the Personal Support Unit (now known as Support Through Court), through her work she gained experience in assisting litigants in person and drafting applications under the Children Act 1989 and Family Law Act 1996.
Adiba wrote her master’s dissertation on children’s participation in private children law proceedings
