Emily Beer and Amy Stout have been successful in the Supreme Court in the case of Re H-W (Children) (2022) UKSC 17, acting pro bono for the second appellant. 

They were instructed by Sian Churchill of Crane and Staples and led by Will Tyler QC of The 36 Group.

This is an important decision regarding proportionality in care proceedings and how far an appellate court should go in its review of a proportionality assessment.
