Catherine is the Deputy Head of Chambers

Catherine practices in family law with particular emphasis on private law and public law cases.

Catherine is known for diligence, her attention to detail, her tenacity in Court and for her client focussed approach to proceedings.

Public Law Proceedings - in public law proceedings Catherine is regularly instructed to represent parents and guardians in cases involving complex mental health issues, multiple non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse and serious neglect.

Private Law Proceedings - in private law proceedings Catherine is regularly instructed in cases which involve intractable contact disputes, parental alienation, sexual abuse and domestic violence. She is also instructed in cases where parents are opposing an application to permanently remove the child(ren) from this jurisdiction or where a parent is seeking to relocate out of the jurisdiction. Catherine also represents parents in international child abduction proceedings under The Hague Convention 1980 and wardship proceedings.

Injunctive Proceedings - Catherine represents applicants and respondents in applications made under the Family Law Act 1996.
