M v E [2026] EWFC 108 (B) (05 March 2026)

The court made some significant findings, and partial findings, on mother’s allegations against father (i) the father used and threatened violence against the children, including incidents of slapping, pinching on the inner thigh, and hitting both children (ii) the father breached a NMO (iii) father displayed coercive behaviour by using a threat of suicide to frighten the mother. He was controlling towards her in taking her phone after arguments and checking it and the way in which he hovered around maternal family when visiting, so on occasions isolating from her family and support (v) verbal abuse against the children.
