Neil is in his 20th year of practice in family law.
Neil is popular with solicitors and lay-clients alike for his combination of concise, authoritative and persuasive advocacy, attention to detail on law and facts and a client-friendly and approachable manner. He has a solid reputation in family work and a loyal following from a number of leading firms both in and outside of London.
Neil specialises In public law proceedings and is frequently instructed to represent parents accused of physical and sexual abuse and parents with significant vulnerabilities. Neil has recently been involved in 3 lengthy non-accidental injury cases involving cross-examination of numerous medical experts. Neil also represents children through their Children’s Guardian including vulnerable teenagers. Neil is known for his sensitivity in dealing with stressful situations but does not hesitate to give firm advice when this is required.
Neil is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Law, teaching advocacy to trainee solicitors, the Higher Rights Course, the Trainee Litigation Programme and other legal/procedural courses.
Neil is qualified to accept instructions under the Bar Council Public Access scheme.
